This expansive Dutch barn, beautifully converted from Cotswold stone, stands alone with panoramic views of the surrounding fields and rolling hills. Accommodating up to eight guests, the barn is both spacious and private, making it an ideal choice for families. The stunning scenery, ample outdoor space, generous living areas, and a separate games room ensure that every guest falls in love with this unique accommodation in this heart of Cirencester.

Positioned to make the most of the breath-taking Cotswold landscape, the Old Hay Barn is designed with an ‘artisan industrial’ interior that oozes style and comfort. The rooms are furnished with unique pieces, including hand-crafted vases, wall-hung kilims, carved wooden chests, hand-woven baskets, and olive wood sinks. The focus on style, comfort, and space is evident throughout the property.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed into a spacious, glass-fronted hallway, elegantly decorated and infused with the delightful fragrances of True Grace diffusers. This beautifully scented entryway sets the tone for the rest of the barn, leading us into expansive living spaces that each outdo the last in warmth and charm.

The open plan kitchen and dining room, where a stunning island and a roomy ten-seater dining table steal the show, surrounded by a top-notch kitchen stocked with all the essentials. Swing open the doors to an outdoor dining area, perfect for laid-back meals immersed in the beauty of nature.

The formal living room is a highlight, a true standout feature of the barn, boasting a cosy wood burner, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, and three plush, sink-into-me sofas. The room is filled with stunning details that make it feel both luxurious and homey.

Next to this, a sizeable snug room offers the perfect space for children to spread out, get cosy, and watch a film. We were amazed at the art in this room, which depicted the barn before its conversion. Seeing the transformation from what it once was to its current state is truly incredible.

The fantastic games room is a haven for fun and relaxation. Here, you'll find entertainment aplenty with table tennis, a football table, and a basket overflowing with classic board games. Sink into the depths of a generously sized, snuggly corner sofa, perfect for lounging after a lively tournament or simply unwinding with your favourite game. Whether you're seeking friendly competition or a moment of reprieve, this room offers the ideal setting for both.

The central staircase leads to a long corridor that adjoins four beautifully appointed bedrooms. There are three super king rooms and one twin room. Two en-suite master bedrooms are found at either end of the corridor, one of which includes a roomy rolltop bath for those seeking an extra touch of luxury.

All the en-suites and bathrooms are spacious and feature stunning details, from gorgeous tiles to unique basins. Each bathroom is stocked with natural botanical products by 100 Acres and soft, fluffy white towels.

Our stay was made even more special with a welcome hamper filled with fresh sourdough, local produce, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a delicious bottle of gin. We enjoyed high-speed fibreoptic WiFi, a Smart TV, Sonos wireless speakers, luxury linen, towels, robes, and bedding options to suit all preferences. The outdoor amenities at Old Hay Barn are equally impressive. We luxuriated in the hot tub, dined al fresco at the ten-seater dining table, relaxed on sunbeds, and made use of the BBQ area. The porchway sofa with a firepit provided a cosy spot to unwind while taking in the stunning views of the rolling hills beyond.

Our stay at Old Hay Barn was an unforgettable weekend, blending the best of the Cotswold countryside with every modern comfort. This beautifully converted barn offered everything we needed for a perfect family getaway, from its stylish interiors and luxurious amenities to its breath-taking location and thoughtful details. It’s a place that truly allows you to relax, unwind, and fall in love with the beauty of the Cotswolds.
