We arrived on Friday afternoon and were immediately welcomed by the warm smiles of Dana and Laura at reception, who made us feel at home from the moment we walked in. Their hospitality set the tone for the rest of our stay, and we knew right away we were in for a treat.

Our room was a dream - bright, cosy, and elegantly designed. The freestanding bath in the bedroom was a luxurious touch, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower and the lovely Penhaligon toiletries added to the indulgence. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced, and every time we returned, the housekeeping team had made sure the room was spotless and welcoming. We even enjoyed some downtime watching Sky TV in the evenings before dinner, which made the room feel like a home away from home.
Saturday morning started with a fantastic breakfast, offering both cooked and continental options. As vegans, we were thrilled with the variety available, and the service was top-notch. Shenoy, our server, was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure our breakfast experience was nothing short of delightful. He truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and satisfying start to our day.
After breakfast, we took full advantage of the hotel’s prime location. Just a short walk away is the beautiful Richmond Park, where we spent the day soaking in the autumn scenery. The park was a perfect escape into nature, with its golden leaves and tranquil river views. Later, we strolled through Richmond town’s shops, all within walking distance of the hotel. The Victoria Inn pub down the roads from the hotel is a must for a quick drink when walking back to the hotel. Founded in 1850, this charming Grade II listed building is reputed to be Richmond's smallest pub, barely larger than a sitting room. Despite its size, it is full of character and offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The convenience of being so close to both nature and the bustling town made our day wonderfully balanced and relaxing.
Saturday evening brought us to the hotel’s adjoining restaurant, 144 On The Hill, for a dining experience we won’t soon forget. The three-course meal was incredible, with plenty of vegan options. The chimichurri broccoli was a standout dish - absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. Paired with a side of rosemary fries, it was a meal to remember. Denis, our server, made the evening even more special with his attentive and friendly service, while restaurant managers Ana and Filipe ensured everything ran smoothly, adding a professional yet welcoming touch to the entire experience. We also indulged in their fabulous espresso martinis, which rounded off the evening perfectly.
One of the many perks of staying at Richmond Hill Hotel is the convenience of parking right outside, making our arrival and departure stress-free. The hotel’s amenities didn’t disappoint either, with a well-equipped gym for those looking to stay active during their stay. The stylish interior, cosy lounges, and the consistent level of service we received made us feel pampered from start to finish. We'd stay again in a heartbeat!
