For travellers coming from afar, the hotel is a mere one-hour train ride from London and a short 15-minute drive from Southampton Airport.

Having undergone a £2.5 million refurbishment in 2019, the Holiday Inn Winchester combines modern amenities with its stunning natural surroundings, making it the perfect destination for a memorable stay.

As we stepped through the doors of Holiday Inn Winchester, we were greeted by the hotel's welcoming ambiance and a reception staff eager to assist us. The check-in process was smooth, and we were quickly escorted to our beautiful family room. The moment we stepped inside, we were impressed by the tasteful décor and the spaciousness that allowed our family to unwind and enjoy our time together.

In the evening, we ventured down to the hotel's dining area at the Odyssey Restaurant , and we were immediately enchanted by the elegant space that surrounded us. There was an array of options on the menu but while the menu offered a diverse selection, we did find ourselves wishing for more vegan options to cater to our dietary preferences. Nonetheless, the attentive and friendly staff made our dining experience enjoyable, ensuring that all our needs were met.

After a satisfying dinner, we retreated to our room for a well-deserved rest. The beds at Holiday Inn Winchester proved to be incredibly comfortable, providing us with a night of uninterrupted sleep. The spaciousness of the room allowed us to unwind and relax, ensuring that our family woke up refreshed and ready for another day of exploration.

The following morning, we made our way to the hotel's dining area for breakfast. The spread was impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from. From freshly baked pastries to hearty breakfast classics, there was something to satisfy every palate. The friendly staff ensured that our morning started on a high note, providing attentive service and making sure we had everything we needed to start our day off right, and even advised us on places to visit in the local area.

Our two night stay at Holiday Inn Winchester left as with wonderful memories of a comfortable and happy stay. The beautiful family room, comfortable beds, and spacious accommodations provided the perfect retreat for our family. While we wished for more vegan options on the menu, the stylish décor in the dining and bar areas created an inviting atmosphere. The staff's friendliness and attentiveness enhanced our experience, making us feel truly valued as guests. With its impeccable cleanliness, convenient location near the Winchester Science Centre, and a short drive to the city centre, cathedral and Southampton airport, Holiday Inn Winchester proved to be the ideal choice for a memorable and enjoyable weekend getaway.
